Marwan Kheireddine was born to refugee parents from the Arab-Israel war of 1948. From a young age, he observed his parents’ challenges, and he had to quit school at some point to support them in creating a livelihood. Since then, he has developed a positive mindset and love for economic efficiency in the Lebanese community and youths.
Marwan Kheireddine is the current chief executive officer of Al Mawarid bank in Lebanon. He has served on the board of trustees for the AUB Business school for years and assisted in designing its curriculum. He is among the founder members of the Lebanon chapter of Endeavors, an international entrepreneurship strategy. He also served the Lebanese government diligently for years. His entrepreneurial journey started with the establishment of the MK group, aimed at oil, gas, tourism, shipping, and real estate, specifically to create jobs in Lebanon.
Having worked in the Lebanese government for three years, Marwan Kheireddine has been a consistent enthusiast of boosting and strengthening the private sector in connection with the youth. He believes that his country’s future lies in the youth’s hands. If they are well mentored, they will produce a much better Lebanon.
He has been involved in many activities promoting youth and the community. To empower young entrepreneurs in Lebanon, he established YOUTHinc, an organization meant to provide for upcoming entrepreneurs in Lebanon. Having taught in AUB business school, he encouraged learners to embrace a positive mentality and thinking in their business ventures.
He has always been touched by unemployment in Lebanon and specifically for the youth. In 2001, he and Richard Branson established a Virgin Megastore to facilitate job creation in Lebanon. In addition, he was involved in organizing concerts and events that promote and bring youths together in Lebanon. The shows attracted top talents but also promoted Lebanese pop culture. The forum attracted and motivated young people to work diligently, be open-minded and open themselves to opportunities.
